GENERAL SUMMARY:
The CFO is accountable for the Company's financial operations and general accounting team to ensure strong internal controls are established, maintained and utilized to prepare fiscal records, financial statements and analysis. Analyze operating results compared to forecast, budget, internal financial and non-financial measurement goals and compliance with policies and procedures. The CFO is also responsible for accounting, treasury, taxes and tax functions and taxing authority reporting, strategic planning, and formal audit coordination. The CFO reports directly to the President and directly assists the Executive Team on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding.

KEY OBJECTIVES:
Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision and business plans.
Provide management to staff and leadership to the organization that aligns with the company's business plan and overall strategic vision.
Translate strategic vision into actionable goals for performance and growth, helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating plans.
Work closely with executive team members in creating, growing and building a world class, industry leading organization.
Motivate and encourage employees at all levels as one of the key leaders in the company including but not limited to professional staff, management level employees and executive leadership team members.
Foster a growth oriented, positive and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures and guidelines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
I. Manage the Accounting, Purchasing, Material Control, Risk Management and Security departments.
2. Provide timely, accurate analysis of budgets and financial reports and information to assist
the President and other Executives with their responsibilities.
3. Create effective interim reports of financial and non-financial measurements in conjunction with all levels of management to detect trends, provide monthly forecasts and make recommendations.
4. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the Company (i.e., growth, new markets, and evaluation of potential alliances, employee benefits, retirement plans, and investments). Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory interactions.
5. Issuance of financial information and report financial results to the management team.
6. Work with other c-level executives on budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation programs
7. Direct month end closing process ensuring compliance to established schedules.
8. Ensure accuracy of inventories by established internal control system.
9. Analyze variances from forecast, prior year and budget.
I0. Monitor cash balances and develop reliable cash flow projections and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs of the Company.
11. Continually improve the timeliness and accuracy of the Company's cash flow and management of the billing and collections process and month end, quarterly and year end closings.
12. Determine plant standard cost rates and update same during budget process. Ensure standard costs are accurately calculated and maintained.
13. Analyze capital requests to ensure good utilization of resources and for compliance to company capital policies.
14. Oversee financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations.
15. Monitor legal issues involving the Company, and coordinate with outside advisors, legal counsel, financial institutions, auditors, and government contracts.
16. Ensure recordkeeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
17. Maintain banking relationships.
18. Forge strategic partnerships and relationships with clients, vendors, investors, auditors and all other professional business relationships.
19. Adhere to company, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Outstanding working knowledge of taxes and other laws/regulations governing company reports, filings, etc.
Positive, self-confident, decisive leader able to influence across the organization.
High level of written and oral communication skills.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
Ability to travel for up to one (1) week per month
A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment strong operational focus and a creative thinker.
Good leader and educator who is trustworthy, willing to share information and serve as a mentor.
Decisive with a "big picture" perspective.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
MBA or CPA preferred; at least 15 years of applicable business experience of which 10 must be in a financial leadership role.
Manufacturing experience required.
Experience with SAP ERP systems is preferred, primarily in Business By Design (BBD)
Ideally experienced in both private and public sectors (with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance).
International accounting experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to communicate effectively, articulate clearly, possess good grammatical skills and negotiate effectively. Ability to draft technical reports, documents and agreements; read, analyze and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
