POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for reporting to and partnering with the President & Board of Directors as a member of the senior leadership team. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will set the company's financial policy and direction while also being an active participant in, and driver of, the organization's overall strategy, accounting and finance operations.

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will set the company's financial policy and direction while also being an active participant in, and driver of, the organization's overall strategy, accounting and finance operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Collaborate with Board of Directors to develop and implement policy aligning with the company's financial objectives
- Lead and manage the financial affairs of the organization
- Lead the annual budgeting process, and collaborate with department heads to allocate resources effectively
- Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and recommend adjustments as needed
- Oversight of annual audit effort and liaison with CPA firm as required
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
- Prepare financial reports for and present to the Board of Directors and other stakeholders
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of short and long-range strategies and regulatory action plans
- Ensure Accurate Financial Forecasting
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required; MBA preferred
- CPA or related certifications preferred
- 7+ Years of progressive financial experience, preferably in construction, surveying, or related field
- 5+ Years managing a financial department
- Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliance
- Experience with Employee-Owned Companies and Management of Employee Stock Ownership Plans is considered a plus
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- Experience collaborating directly with executive teams and stakeholders including External Auditors, ESOP Valuation Firms and Employee Benefits Third Party Administrators.
- Familiarity with Deltek Accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is considered a plus,
- Strong strategic business acumen
