Description:
Responsible for overseeing FTE allocation, access management, service, quality, and maximizing efficient use of Procedure Suites for Gastroenterology. Expected to be backup for external referrals (COS folder). Partners closely with TSPMG and KP Health Plan leadership.
1) Supports access & scheduling needs in outpatient clinic setting
2) Oversees Procedure Suite utilization
3) In conjunction with Chief, oversees and accountable for the service, quality, and affordability performance of the providers in the four primary medical office locations
4) Serves as a subject matter expert in the development of major initiatives that affect the department on as needed basis.
5) Promotes team development and the performance of the healthcare teams. Builds and reinforces the culture of the practice, with an emphasis on quality, service, and collegiality.
6) Promotes peer education and assists Chief in developing Gastroenterology providers on an individual basis with respect to overall performance and leadership development. Performs the semi-annual reviews and provides ongoing feedback.
7) Helps identify and implement process improvement opportunities that will support department performance and priorities.
8) Works to identify and actively spread best practices throughout the Area.
9) Meets regularly with Chief of Gastroenterology, Clinical Managers and TSPMG Business Operations Manager to provide updates, metrics, recommendations, and to plan future steps.
10) Collaboration with other operational leaders as needed, including Physicians in Charge, HP Senior Directors, Specialty Operations leaders.
11) Collaborates with department-specific vendors, as required.
