Job Description
The purpose of this position is provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information systems and technology initiatives at the College. This is accomplished by developing strategy and planning initiatives, maintaining overall responsibility for acquisition and development; responsibility for operational management of the Computer Technical Services (CTS) area; implementing, upgrading and supporting enterprise systems and technology, including all related equipment and tools, in support of the academic needs of the College
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States, as the College does not offer Visa sponsorship for this position

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Contribute to the College's strategic and operational goals; leads long-term IT infrastructure planning, including upgrades, system implementations, and data management.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- implement cybersecurity measures to safeguard data
- Ensures compliance with all technology-related policies, regulations, and contracts
- Leads consultation with stakeholders to define business and system needs; delivers responsive, proactive technology services
- Oversees project approval and prioritization for acquiring and implementing systems; manages hardware/software contracts
- Set IT standards and procedures for campus-wide implementation
- Partner with eLearning to support distance learning technology needs.
- Ensure uninterrupted network and telecom services
- Manage service level agreements
- Stays informed on IT industry trends
- Oversee recruitment, development, and retention of ITS staff in line with College policies.
