OPEXUS currently serves over 100,000 government users and 200 public institutions in the U.S. and Canada, providing purpose-built solutions for Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), audit, investigations, workforce management, and procurement teams. Its solutions help customers digitize complex government processes, approvals, and reporting, modernizing their ability to respond to rapidly growing and increasingly challenging requests while adhering to the highest privacy and security standards.

Casepoint's modern, cloud-native approach to data discovery is the gold standard for highly complex, data-responsive workflows. Casepoint has Department of Defense Impact Level 5 and 6 security certifications and is used by dozens of federal agencies. Its innovative software is widely used by enterprise customers to manage data, enhance efficiency, mitigate risk, and effectively meet reporting and compliance obligations related to litigation, investigations, and Congressional inquiries.

Position Summary:

OCP is seeking a visionary Chief Marketing Officer with a track-record of success to lead the company through this exciting inflection point. Reporting directly to the CEO, Howard Langsam, the CMO will play a vital role in helping the company rebrand/relaunch post-merger, as well as articulating OCP's positioning, messaging, and value in the market. This role will spearhead their marketing transformation as they look at ways to leverage generative AI technologies to enhance OCP's product offerings and marketing capabilities. The CMO will:
  • Own the entire marketing function (product marketing, demand generation, brand, etc.) and will lead development and refinement of OCP's unified brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency and clarity across all customer touchpoints.   • Work closely with product and other cross-functional leadership teams to create compelling narratives that highlight OCP's unique value proposition, combining the strengths of both OPEXUS and Casepoint.
  • Drive a customer-first approach to marketing, leveraging data and insights to understand customer pain points, needs, and expectations.
  • Implement targeted demand generation, lead nurturing, and customer retention programs that drive awareness, engagement, and conversions.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, influencers, and industry analysts to position OCP as a thought leader in government process management and data discovery for highly regulated industries and federal agencies.
  • Create a metrics driven organization that achieves marketing excellence: developing a strong analytical and data-driven culture and owning all performance metrics and determining effectiveness across all areas of marketing.
  • Develop tailored messaging for key verticals, including federal agencies, state and local governments, and highly regulated commercial, ensuring relevance to target audiences.
  • Leverage available customer and industry market data and conduct qualitative and quantitative customer/market research to drive decision making for product positioning and messaging to differentiate from competitors.
  • Conduct market, competitor, and segmentation analysis; deliver significant growth in lead generation; supporting decision-making for product and market development, and pricing; manage communications and budgets.

Ideal Candidate Competencies:

Given the importance of the position to OCP's continued growth and success, it is imperative that the CMO bring the following experience to the role:
  • Experienced CMO/senior marketing leader who has led high-performing marketing teams within high growth, profitable, enterprise SaaS companies (ideal scale of $100M to $200M).
  • Experience working in a complex, multi-product business with a focus on highly regulated enterprises and/or federal sector.
  • Background in GovTech or adjacent industry with similar customer and complexity is preferred but not required
  • Strong background in product marketing.
  • Experience leading global marketing teams of 30+.
  • Experience working for businesses that are backed by top tier private equity firms.
  • Built and scaled enterprise customer acquisition strategy, leveraging deep expertise across a variety of channels (i.e., digital, content/inbound marketing, event marketing, thought leadership, strategic partnerships, etc.).
  • Ability to build, lead, and retain a world-class marketing team and instill a culture of performance and accountability.
  • Experience driving effectiveness across all areas of marketing (i.e. demand generation, brand marketing, product marketing, customer events).
  • Experience optimizing ROI and CAC ratios by managing the marketing function via metrics; continually evaluate performance against standards (i.e., ROI targets, customer acquisition rate, funnel conversion, percent of market, etc.).
  • M&A experience is highly desirable; track-record of successfully integrating acquired teams/companies and/or transitioning them through significant change.
