Under the administrative direction of California High-Speed Rail Authority's (Authority) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief of Construction is a member of the Authority's executive management team and is responsible for overseeing construction strategy and mission-critical priorities. The Chief of Construction will lead construction operations by providing direction and leadership to staff and contractors responsible for all construction operations, including Infrastructure Delivery. This position focuses on the construction and efficient delivery of the project in the Central Valley initially, and then to the Bay Area and Southern California Regions. The Chief of Construction formulates and implements statewide programs and policies and coordinates with and advises the CEO in the development of overall strategies for the successful and timely construction and completion of the high-speed rail project. Acts as a senior interface with the embedded contractor integrated into the Authority's organization to assist with the design, development, construction, and delivery of the high-speed rail system.
