Description

Shodair Children's Hospital, a premier non-profit children's behavioral health hospital in Montana, is seeking a dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our compassionate and innovative team. As a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will provide exceptional psychiatric care, making a positive impact to kids in Montana.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, safe, and compassionate psychiatric care to pediatric patients.
  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately diagnose and manage psychiatric conditions.
  • Prescribe and manage medical drug therapies and other therapeutic treatments.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient care in compliance with medical records policies.
  • Counsel patients and families about health, illness, and promote health maintenance.
  • Collaborate professionally within a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Participate in call coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Engage in administrative duties, quality improvement initiatives, and educational programs.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and professional ethics, maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
  • With consent, supervise mid-level healthcare providers, enhancing their professional development.
  • Teach and mentor medical students, PA students, and APRN students, fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:
  • M.D. or D.O. degree, with residency in Psychiatry and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry (preferred).
  • Valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in Montana.
  • Active U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number.
  • Eligible to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and other government-funded healthcare programs.
  • Strong commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
