CICS Systems Programmer

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a CICS Systems Programmer for a remote opportunity. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all systems programming decisions maintain the integrity of the overall systems infrastructure. Write or debug programs to maintain and control computer systems software, such as operating systems, networked systems, and database systems. Provide technical and disaster recovery expertise for systems software.

Required Qualifications of the CICS Systems Programmer :

• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
• Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or other job-related field or 4 years of job-related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree
• 4 Years IT experience including varied programming experience.
• Knowledge of CICS/TS internals and operations
• experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

Responsibilities of the CICS Systems Programmer:

• Daily support and upkeep of the Mainframe CICS Environment and supporting products and processes.
• Work with IBM and vendor utilities and be able to work with various technical groups to support real-time business functions.
• Write or debug programs to maintain and control computer systems software, such as operating systems, networked systems, and database systems.
• Provide technical and disaster recovery support for systems software.
