Description
Civil Designer (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services, Inc.; Sacramento, CA): Develop and prepare reports, planning studies, specifications, detailed design drawings, and construction submittal reviews calculations, models, and other technical deliverables. Oversee and inspect levee construction including, cutoff wall installation, and jet grout installation. Train employees to complete jet grout installation inspections on levees. Install, set up, and monitor remote sensing equipment on dams and levees. Perform and review earthworks design for cut/fill optimization, site grading and levee drainage design, access roads and crossing design. Ensure quality assurance and quality control on the project. Work directly with key client personnel in developing instrumentation plans to monitor safety and performance of critical infrastructure including but not limited to dams and levees. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). The salary range is $82,600 - $119,800 per year. #GTM #LI-DNI
Qualifications
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Civil earthworks and grading; Logging soil and rock cores, laboratory testing, installation of groundwater monitoring wells, and in-situ permeability testing; and Construction oversight, grouting, concrete mix design and testing for Quality Assurance and Quality Control, submittal reviews, review of instrumentation monitoring reports, responding to request for information, construction completion reports, scheduling, and contractor management.
Telecommuting permitted 3 days a week, depending on business need.
Travel to various locations throughout the U.S. up to 75% is required.
