This position requires expertise in land feasibility analysis, infrastructure planning, entitlement processes, and construction oversight. The Civil Engineer will collaborate closely with executives, municipalities, and financial teams to ensure the successful acquisition, development, and completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Land Acquisition & Feasibility: Evaluate potential land acquisitions, assessing zoning, environmental constraints, and infrastructure feasibility.
- Site Planning & Design: Oversee site development planning, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Entitlements & Permitting: Work with city officials to secure entitlements, permits, and approvals required for development.
- Infrastructure Development: Manage the design and implementation of essential infrastructure, including roads, sewer, water, and electrical systems.
- Construction Oversight: Support the construction team by ensuring engineering designs are followed, resolving site issues, and optimizing project efficiency.
- Budget & Cost Management: Collaborate with financial teams to develop cost estimates and ensure projects stay within budget.
- Project Lifecycle Management: Work closely with executives to align land development strategies with long-term business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. PE (Professional Engineer) license preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in land development, civil engineering, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of site planning, grading, drainage, and infrastructure design.
- Experience working with municipalities to secure entitlements and approvals.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally with finance, construction, and executive teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
