Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the planning, designing, and managing of various civil engineering projects, ranging from [insert types of projects, e.g., urban development, transportation, water resources, etc.]. This position requires a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset.

Duties

Project Design & Development:
  • Develop detailed designs and plans for civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform site investigations, feasibility studies, and technical analysis to inform project design.
  • Utilize CAD software and other engineering tools to create detailed drawings and specifications.

Project Management:
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with architects, fellow engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Actively monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all designs meet local, state, and federal regulations and adhere to company quality standards.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify construction compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Prepare and review engineering reports, specifications, and other technical documents.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and government agencies to gather requirements, provide updates, and resolve project-related issues.
  • Present design concepts and project progress to clients and internal teams.

Innovation and Sustainability:
  • Incorporate sustainable design practices and innovative solutions into projects to meet environmental and social goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Clean Background check
  • Ability to communicate clearly via phone, virtual meetings, and in person.

Qualifications (required related experience)
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software
  • Knowledgeable in grading, storm-water management, highway access permitting, sanitary sewer design, and water systems design.
  • Strong personal organizational, time management, and leadership skills
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work with a group and on an individual basis
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, committed to professional development/continuing education
  • Interacts positively and effectively with people at all levels of organizations
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Projects, etc.)

17. Education (required minimum education level):
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • 4+ years of related experience Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Proficient with HydroCAD.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Projects, etc.

Certifications/Licensures
  • P.E. License
