About the role:

Ready to roll up your sleeves and bring luxury projects to life? We're looking for a talented Civil Engineer to join our team and help design and build high-end residential masterpieces. This mid-level role is perfect for a licensed civil engineer who thrives working independently, loves collaborating with creative architects, and isn't afraid to dive into client interactions. Whether you prefer working remotely from your home office in Santa Barbara, Ventura or Los Angeles Counties, or working full time from our Santa Barbara headquarters, this role has flexibility to fit your lifestyle. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with architects and design teams to develop site-specific civil engineering solutions.
  • Perform site evaluations and prepare grading, drainage, utility plans, erosion control, and stormwater control plans.
  • Ensure all designs comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including Low Impact Development deliverables to ensure swift approval with Grading, Bureau of Sanitation staff, or equivalent.
  • Coordinate with municipal agencies, consultants, and contractors to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Support the construction phase by providing technical guidance and responding to RFIs.
  • Prepare reports, technical memoranda, and other project documentation along with required calculations.
  • Attend client meetings to present designs and provide updates.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in high-end residential projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, working in tandem with the architecture team to coordinate site strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage directly with clients.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.


Computer Skills
  • Digital file management and standards.
  • Proficiency in Revit (BIM), AutoCAD,
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam/Expert PDF Professional.
