Job Title: Civil Estimator
Job Location: Jacksonville, FL
Salary: $100k-140k
Requirements: 5+ years civil estimating experience, FDOT experience required, HCSS HeavyBid and Agtek highly preferred.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects, including highways and roadways, ensuring that all aspects of the project are taken into account to provide comprehensive budgeting support to our project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects, including earthwork, highways, and roadways.
• Review project plans and specifications to identify key items for cost estimation.
• Utilize software tools such as HCSS Heavybid, AGTEK, and other estimating programs to produce estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to ensure competitive pricing.
• Provide value engineering ideas to optimize project costs.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information and assess project scope.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as an estimator in civil construction.
• Familiarity with HCSS Heavybid and AGTEK software.
• Understanding of FDOT standards and specifications.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
