Civil Project Manager - Transportation

Title: Civil Project Manager (Transportation)

Location: Richmond, VA

Salary: $130,000-$145,000 (based on experience)

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing transportation projects and leading a design team at a full-service engineering firm. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in transportation engineering and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with clients and manage project communications
• Lead and manage a design team, ensuring effective collaboration with other design disciplines
• Perform Quality Control reviews to ensure high standards of work
• Prepare project scope and fee proposals
• Adhere to project budgets and schedules
• Assist with responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and presentations
• Prepare construction plans for roadways, sidewalks, storm drainage systems, etc.
• Manage various design and support tasks, including roadway, trail, and sidewalk design; storm drainage design; stormwater management; erosion and sediment control plans; transportation management plans; signing and pavement marking plans; traffic signal plans; quantity and cost estimating; utility adjustment plans and coordination

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS Civil Engineering or similar discipline
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• 8-10 years of experience in transportation engineering
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and lead a design team
• Proficiency with relevant design software (e.g., MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
