Reporting to the Director of Accounting & Tax and working closely with the Tax Senior Manager, this position requires a thorough understanding of tax regulations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns
- Oversee compliance with tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements, staying current on changes across geographies that may impact the company
- Collaborate with the finance team to integrate tax data into financial statements
- Participate in the preparation of tax provisions, tax planning, other relevant forms of budget or financial planning, and disclosures for financial reporting
- Support the Senior Tax Manager in developing and implementing tax strategies aligned with business objectives
- Provide insight on the tax implications of various business initiatives
- Research complex tax issues and stay up-to-date with industry best practices
- Monitor current and impending changes to tax regulation and make the appropriate updates to policies and strategies
- Analyze and interpret tax laws to ensure accurate and effective tax planning
- Collaborate with internal teams, external auditors, and consultants on tax-related matters
- Maintain close communication with the parent company, subsidiaries, and other affiliates based in Korea regarding international tax matters, including transfer pricing, BEPS, and various taxes
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture
- Perform other tax-related duties as required and assigned
Competencies:
- Sound understanding of corporate tax principles and regulations
- Ability to interpret and apply tax laws to specific business situations

- Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Ability to analyze complex tax issues and provide strategic recommendations
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in tax laws, regulations, and business requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 6-7 years of overall tax professional experience, with 3-4 years of specific experience in corporate Income tax
- Solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
- Strong analytical and research skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- SAP experience preferred
- Self-management skills required
- Bilingual required (English: Professional Level / Korean: Intermediate Level
