Description:
MELE Associates is seeking a Classification Supervisor to support the Records Declassification Review Program (RDRP) managed by Fluor Marine Propulsion (FMP) for the Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL). This role is responsible for providing technical expertise in managing the Department of Energy's (DOE) Classification and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) programs and the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP). This role plays a critical role in ensuring the proper handling and protection of sensitive information. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and interpret local classification and controlled information guidance.
- Initiate and conduct classification and declassification reviews for NNPP documents.
- Analyze reports, publications, and other materials to identify classified or sensitive information.
- Supervise special declassification activities and audits.
- Provide classification and sensitive information guidance to employees and subcontractors.
- Train and certify Derivative Classifiers (DCs) and Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information (UCNI) Reviewing Officials, analysts and archivists.
- Develop and deliver educational programs on classification and sensitive information.
- Conduct programmatic self-assessments related to security protocols.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Professional 3) or Master's degree (Professional 4) in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience (Professional 3) or 8+ years of experience (Professional 4) with at least 3 years related to classification.
- A background in classification, nuclear weapons, or Navy Fuel is preferred.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance and a Special Compartmental Information (SCI) Briefing.
- Must be able to obtain DOE HQ certification as a Classification Analyst and Derivative Declassifier.
