Description:
T&M Associates is currently seeking a highly motivated professional to expand our national Water Practice in our West Coast market. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with in-office collaboration The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of creating and implementing a successful business plan to leverage existing client relationships and establish new ones to position for and win new work. This seller-doer should be experienced in a wide range of water-related engineering services, primarily for public systems, including but not limited to: water treatment and distribution, wastewater collection, pumping systems, wastewater treatment, and stormwater management. Ideally, the candidate will have business contacts, be in a position to obtain business, and technically execute some of the work captured. This position supports our well-established, and sustainably growing Company Water team by working in collaboration with our national practice leader, client managers, and senior technical experts to deliver a variety of technically challenging projects.

Responsibilities will include:
- Focus on growth and collaboration between multiple operations nationally with an emphasis on the Water Practice, development and expansion of a book of business, and experience with public clients and governmental agencies.
- Execute water tasks and projects locally. Support our Project Managers, Engineers, and Scientists in the planning, design, and execution of Water tasks and projects.
- Development of an annual business plan to deliver profitable growth of the practice, expansion of services, increased revenue, and capture planning for strategic opportunities.
- Leveraging relationships with former clients and building a backlog of business for the Practice.
- Experience in writing/leading technical and cost proposals, evaluating risks, and determining cost competitiveness in pursuits. Dynamic management style in building a collaborative team environment, providing career development for a wide range of staff, and identifying opportunities for staff to support projects between regions of the company.
- Mentor and delegate tasks to mid-level and junior staff and recruitment and retention of new, diverse, and highly capable team members.
- Communicate clearly with team members.
- Apply quality assurance and quality control processes, evaluate business risks, and provide alternatives.
Requirements:
- B.S in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- California Professional Engineering License.
- At least 15-20 years of water experience including but not limited to planning and design of water infrastructure.
- Project experience and established relationships with strategic teaming partners in the greater Southern California area.
- Provide a "National Client" focus and strong business development skills, ability to transition existing clients.
- Understanding of local, state, and federal design, permitting, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work in a team environment, self-starter, demonstrated organizational skills, team player, and willingness to learn.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Some travel for business development and collaboration across offices may be required.
