As a Clinical Informatics Applications Clinical Manager, you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess.

Job Overview

Assist in planning and coordination of the strategic development, implementation, deployment and operations of clinical application systems and clinical technology solutions that meet organizational initiatives and strategies. Coordinate support and development of tools necessary to improve quality and efficiency of patient care within the organization. Develop and drive efficiencies within CIDA services and project delivery. Lead and mentor analyst teams as they support CIDA initiatives for our organization and customers.

Job Duties
  • Works with other CIDA leadership to develop strategic initiatives to implement clinical applications solutions.
  • Collaborates with operational leaders to develop recommendations for clinical application uses by evaluating organizational outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends and anticipating future needs.
  • Develops financial and budgetary skills by forecasting requirements as they relate to clinical applications
  • Specific projects, assists in preparing annual budget, maintaining responsibility for individual team expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities within the clinical applications teams.
  • Enforces organizational standards and key performance metrics within the realm of clinical applications for the organization.
  • Develops leadership skills and technical knowledge by attending conferences, workshops and webinars; regularly reviews professional publications for trends and advances in the realm of Health Information Technology; establishes personal networks both in and outside of the organization; develops skills in benchmarking with outside organizations to cultivate state-of-the-art practices.
  • Mentors team members to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor.
  • Develops opportunities for improvement and efficiency in all areas of responsibility.

What you will need
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of relevant HIT and/or clinical experience preferred.
  • Computer Science or Healthcare Informatics preferred
  • Must be licensed Health Care Professional in applicable state if holding a Clinical Degree
