Description:
Job Summary: Under limited supervision, directly oversees unit orientation for new graduate nurses, international nurses and the new to speciality nurse while guiding progress of preceptor/orientee pair. This individual will also assist the development of the new grad and the new to speciality nurse from the novice nurse to a fully competent nurse in area of speciality. Must demonstrate an exceptional ability to coach, problem solve, actively listen, and communicate both verbally and in writing.
Requirements-Requires 3-5 years experience as Registered Nurse in area of specialty; successful extensive history of precepting, coaching and mentoring. BSN required. AHA-BLS required. AHA-BLS INSTRUCTOR required within 6 months of hire.
