As a Clinical Informatics Specialist (RN), you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess.
Job Overview:
The Clinical Informatics Specialist (RN) will facilitate the implementation of technology into the peri-operative clinical setting in a manner that enhances clinical practice, the delivery of safe patient care, achievement of clinical practice standards, quality metrics, and regulatory requirements. The Clinical Informatics Specialist accomplishes this through the following areas of primary responsibility: end-user Epic training for peri-operative clinical staff, partnering with IS in the evaluation, selection and implementation of technology that supports clinical practice for the OpTime/Anesthesia Epic application, monitoring adoption of systems and mentors clinical staff in the utilization of technology that supports optimal patient outcomes, collaborating with clinical departments and IS to foster understanding and translation of clinical needs to optimize design and function of Clinical Information Systems, and collaborating with affiliate hospital's Epic trainers and support initial go-lives and ongoing training team support. The Clinical Informatics Specialist maintains their peri-operative clinical expertise with staff rounding, participation in Unit Based Council meetings and attending Core Care committee meetings. This role will also participate in Unit and/or department Skills Day relevant to their profession or clinical background. This employee may be requested to work in staffing providing direct patient care, so this position also follows the clinical role as outlined in the appropriate clinical job description related the employee's licensure.

Required: Certifications/Licenses/Experience
- Active license in clinical professional area of expertise
- Bachelor's Degree in area of clinical expertise required
- Minimum of 2 (two) years of experience in the area of clinical expertise
