This position supports the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program and provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cardiac Nurse interested in taking their career to the next level.

The ideal candidate will have prior cardiac experience, combined with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Position Summary
  • This is a supervisory and clinical work position responsible for scheduling, training, planning, directing, implementing, and supervising and to ensure the competency of the staff for the operations of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. Administrative duties include budget preparation, variance tracking, purchasing of supplies, management of contracts, and evaluation of new products. The role plans and implements CPI process and monitors outcomes of patients. Role also serves on Maine Medical Center committees as well as Maine Health work teams. Works collaboratively with appropriate staff across the cardiovascular service line in support of identified goals and initiatives

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: N/A
  • License/Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine with an MSN or a master's degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology from an accredited program and certification as a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sport Medicine (ACSM).
  • Experience: Knowledge of clinical procedures, practices and techniques in cardiovascular prevention at a level generally acquired through a minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible work experience.
  • Analytical abilities necessary to evaluate and revise the prevention program in support of patient and community wellness goals and continuous process improvement.
  • Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, physicians, administrators, and others from across the organization.
