JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Clinical Program Coordinator is responsible for clinical and programmatic coordination within Cancer Services. The Clinical Program Coordinator is responsible for coordination of activities related to a specific patient population and the administration of direct patient care to this population. The Coordinator functions as a clinical leader of multidisciplinary teams, providing and coordinating care to patients and families. Concurrent utilization and service review, consultation, patient and family education, promotion of continuity of care, preceptorship and committee work are required of this position
EDUCATION:
State of Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license required. The University of Vermont Medical Center is moving toward an all Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) workforce. All external candidates hired into, or current employees promoted to, a RN position will be required to obtain their BSN as outlined in the terms of their offer letter. Current internal RNs are strongly encouraged to pursue a BSN to support this initiative. Masters preferred. AOCN a must with in a year.
EXPERIENCE:
Five years of relevant oncology RN experience.
OCN preferred and required within a year
This is a bargaining union position.
