Summary:
The Clinical Program Manager, RN Professional Practice supports the implementation, oversight and evaluation of nursing professional practice initiatives across the health system. This role works closely with the System Director, RN Professional Practice and clinical teams to advance nursing excellence through standardized frameworks, shared governance, and evidence-based practice. The clinical Program Manager is instrumental in ensuring consistent professional practice standards and promoting a culture of clinical excellence, collaboration and continuous learning.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the System Director, RN Professional Practice to operationalize the standardized nursing professional practice model across the system
Support the development and execution of shared governance structures to enhance nurse involvement in decision making
Ensure nursing practice standards are consistently applied across all facilities
Partner with Program Manager, RN Education to coordinate education and training programs that support professional practice initiatives, including evidence-based practice, shared governance, and leadership development
Serve as a resource to nurse leaders and staff regarding professional practice standards.
Collaborate with quality and performance improvement teams to monitor and evaluate the impact of professional practice initiatives on clinical outcomes
Use data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in professional practice
Serve as a liaison between the System Director and facility-based nursing leaders to ensure alignment of professional practice initiatives
Facilitate communication and collaboration across interprofessional teams to enhance patient outcomes and staff engagement
Support programs that recognize and celebrate nursing achievements, including certifications, academic advancements, and professional contributions
For a Magnet designated facility this role would serve as the Magnet Program Director
Other information:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, reqruired
Master's degree in Nursing preferred
Active RN licensure in the state of practice
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, including 2 years of leadership experience
Experience with shared governance and/or Magnet, preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Supervises up to X FTE
