Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced neurologist with an interest in Alzheimer's and dementia to join our team. A primary focus will be conducting clinical research trials for the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. The studies will be aimed at advancing the understanding and treatment of neurodegenerative disorders but may also include areas of study such as movement disorders, headache, and multiple sclerosis. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Principal Investigator (PI) and a strong commitment to both patient care and research excellence with a willingness to serve as a PI for general neurology studies. Our base salary starts at $305,000-$310,000 and includes a competitive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, an annual CME allowance, a 401(k), and a generous vacation and holiday package. Physicians have the opportunity to earn significant additional compensation through participation as principal or sub-investigators in clinical trials.

Current locations include the Rocky Mountain MS Clinic in Salt Lake City, UT, Central Texas Neurology Consultants in Austin, Texas, and the MS & Neuromuscular Center of Excellence in Tampa, FL. Future locations include Colorado, Arizona, Ohio, broader Texas & Florida, and more.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose neurology patients through comprehensive neurologic history and physical exams.
- Lead clinical research trials as the Principal Investigator (PI), overseeing study protocols, participant safety, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with the research team to ensure smooth trial operations, including participant recruitment, compliance with study protocols, and regulatory documentation.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including neuroimaging studies (MRI, CT, PET), as part of patient care and research studies.
- Prescribe and monitor treatments for various neurological conditions, ensuring the safety and well-being of both clinical and research patients.
- Counsel patients and caregivers on disease progression, treatment options, and the benefits of participating in clinical trials.
Research-Focused Duties:
- Collaborate with the research team to oversee trial operations, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor trial progress and address any safety or ethical concerns in collaboration with the research team and institutional review boards (IRBs).
- Engage with academic, industry, and community partners to expand research initiatives and build collaborative networks.
- Analyze research data and contribute to the development of new treatment approaches for Alzheimer's and dementia patients.

Qualifications:
- Board-certified or board eligible (If < 2 years out of training) neurologist with experience in Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
- Experience as a Principal Investigator (PI) or Sub-Investigator (Sub-I) in clinical research trials.
- Current medical license and eligible to obtain Utah medical license.
- Current federal DEA license
- Professional organization membership is preferred
