JOB SUMMARY:
THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION: The incumbent serves as Clinical Services & Support Program Supervisor. The incumbent Manages the daily operations of the program and exercises leadership regarding the planning, implementation, program management and monitoring, and outcome evaluation of the SAMSHA PIWC-DC grant. Assesses Program accomplishments and ensures redirection of efforts and changes in emphasis to address redefined objectives, as necessary. Ensures consumers receive quality services in the least restrictive, most integrated setting appropriate to their individual needs. Serves as principal advisor to the Director of Care Access and Innovation on the SAMSHA PIWC-DC activities related to the delivery of Behavioral Health Services. Provides advice on a broad range of issues and developments involved in planning and delivery of clinical services and supports to the DBH network of adult services providers.

Salary: $99,513.00 - $139,318.00 The salary for this position may be negotiable up to $119,416.00 depending on qualifications and availability of funds.

Duration of Appointment : NOT-TO-EXCEED 13 MONTHS, MANAGEMENT SUPERVISORY SERVICE (AT WILL).
AT WILL EMPLOYMENT APPLIES TO THE MANAGEMENT SUPERVISORY SERVICE (MSS). ALL POSITIONS AND APPOINTMENTS IN THE MSS SERVE AT THE PLEASURE OF THE APPOINTING AUTHORITY AND MAY BE TERMINATED AT ANY TIME WITHOUT CAUSE.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT :
As a basic requirement, all applicants must have successfully completed a four (4) year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a Bachelors or higher degree which involved major study in an academic field related to health or allied sciences. This position requires one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level. Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position to be filled which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties.
LICENSURE
This position requires licensure as a Qualified Practitioner includes (e.g., RN, LPC, LICSW, Ph.D., Psy.D etc.) through the District of Columbia, Department of Health, DC Health License Commission Board.
EDUCATION
Bachelors or higher degree which involved major study in an academic field related to health or allied sciences
WORK EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated advanced ability to provide guidance and leadership in the organization and service delivery for adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders or medical problems.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is conducted in a wide variety of community-based settings that could include community clinics, stakeholder sites, hospitals, and other government building locations. Work hours include evenings and weekends.
In accordance with Chapter 4 of the D.C. Personnel Regulations, Suitability, the incumbent of this position shall be subject to Criminal Background Check. This position also requires a Pre-employment Physical.
Residency Requirement
A person applying for a position in the Career Service, Educational Service, Management Supervisory Service, a line attorney position in the Legal Service (series 905), or an attorney position in the Excepted Service (series 905) who is a bona fide District resident AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION for the position may be awarded a 10-point residency preference over non-District applicants, unless the person declines the preference points. If selected, the person shall be required to present proof of a non-expired DC Driver's License or Non-driver's license and maintain such residency for 7 consecutive years from the effective date of the appointment. Failure to maintain bona fide District residency for the 7-year period will result in forfeiture of employment.
Position Designation : This position is deemed as Protection Sensitive pursuant to Section 410 of Chapter 4 of the D.C. Personnel Regulations, in addition to the general suitability screening, individuals applying for or occupying protection sensitive positions are subject to the following checks and tests:
