POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Systems Administrator position requires strong organizational and project management skills. The position is responsible for supporting, reviewing, analyzing, enhancing, and modifying the EMR and related systems. This can include user support, user training, application configuration, application testing, debugging and installation of application systems. While the primary application to be supported by this position is the organization's EMR, collaboration around other IT applications and initiatives is also required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide comprehensive end-user support and training for EMR and related systems, identifying opportunities for improvement in training initiatives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for end-user assistance with EMR, offering guidance and troubleshooting support to optimize system utilization.
  • Collaborate with application vendors to address issues, implement upgrades, and facilitate system enhancements.
  • Analyze EMR/Salesforce and IT workflows and business processes, identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and lead initiatives to implement changes.
  • Lead efforts in EMR modification, testing, and version upgrades, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Identify and rectify data integrity issues within the EMR database, implementing solutions to maintain accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive training documentation and upgrade documentation for end-users.
  • Lead meetings to discuss EMR system enhancements, progress, and issue resolution, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Lead the ongoing development of Kipu EMR in collaboration with the department leads to design a customized and efficient Kipu EMR.
  • Manage the ongoing development and maintenance of Salesforce in collaboration with our Salesforce development vendors
  • Act as admin for various company/vendor applications.
  • Provide backup support for IT issues requiring urgent attention, as necessary.
  • Serve as primary on-call support for EMR issues and backup on-call support for other IT issues, as required.
  • Performs related duties, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in related field(s) preferred.
  • Clinical background preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technology and EMR experience, including hands-on technical experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of EMR's and enterprise software applications.
  • Good working knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Strong project management skills with effective results focused within an information systems environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures, and guidelines to support operational processes related to EMR.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
  • Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.
