Position Highlights:
- The Clinical System Analyst III is responsible for providing support toward the selection, installation, configuration, conversion, implementation, and ongoing utilization of clinical systems on an expert level. Responsible for analysis, programming, testing, implementation, and maintenance of clinical information systems. Determines and identifies business and clinical issues through interaction with clinicians and other users. In addition, the Clinical System Analyst III is expected to provide expert knowledge in problem determination, evaluation, and solutions. Develop, coordinate, and execute comprehensive test plans; modify software modules as necessary, and demonstrate sound analytical skills in evaluation of client needs. Follows the change control process and complies with procedures.
- Individuals will be responsible for the development, planning, monitoring, troubleshooting, implementation, and maintaining day-to-day operations related to the computer systems and applications used to support Radiology operations, after hours support for both planned and unplanned outages. These systems include Radiology Information System (RIS), Voice Recognition, image sharing, departmental business systems, and others that may be used in the department. Must also have an understanding of Radiology department processes, radiology technologist workflow, imaging modalities, and system integration. Knowledge of DICOM standards required.
- Ability to lead development & optimization efforts within these specialized clinical modules. Work collaboratively with upgrade team on annual, bi-annual, quarterly and ad hoc updates. Working knowledge of departmental charge master with regard to radiological testing; working knowledge of HL7 integration specific to ADT, orders and results.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as subject matter expert (SME) for the Radiology department IT systems and applications
- Assists Radiology department with development of training materials, training plans and training documentation for new implementations, upgrades and optimizations.
- Develop and update System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) planning
- System management, upgrade management and routine maintenance
- System/application planning and optimization
- Technical troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Assumes on-call rotation responsibilities for Radiology IT Systems/Clinical Systems
Credentials and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree - field of study: Computer Science or healthcare systems
- Minimum 5 years experience supporting the Radiology department and information systems.
Experience supporting Radiology Information Systems (Cerner RadNet), voice recognition, radiology business systems and image sharing applications.
- ****in lieu of a Bachelor's degree:
* an Associate's degree with an additional two (2) years of relevant information systems analyst experience plus the five (5) years (for a total of 7 years) experience may be considered

* a High School Diploma with an additional four (4) years of relevant information systems analyst experience plus the five (5) years (for a total of 9 years) experience may be considered
Preferred Experience:
- 7+ years experience in clinical Radiology IT support, or IT support in a health care facility background in supporting PACS, voice recognition, and imaging sharing applications
