About the Team
Our Child and Family Team provides a wide range of behavioral health services - from brief counseling to comprehensive wraparound support. Our clinicians specialize in trauma-informed and trauma-focused care, early childhood intervention, services for older children and adolescents, and family-centered approaches. We also offer skill development services designed to help children and youth thrive in their homes, schools, and communities.
As a School-Based Clinician I, II, or III, you'll provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy directly on-site at select schools within the Anchorage School District. You'll work closely with school staff to identify and support students needing behavioral health services.

As a School-Based Clinician I, II, or III, you'll provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy directly on-site at select schools within the Anchorage School District. You'll work closely with school staff to identify and support students needing behavioral health services.
This posting covers three levels of Clinician based on experience and licensure:
- Clinician I - Unlicensed
- Clinician II - Provisionally Licensed
- Clinician III - Fully Licensed and Experienced
Signing Bonus Available:
- $5,000 for Clinician I
- $10,000 for Clinician II & III
What You'll Do
- Provide behavioral health services using evidence-based practices (e.g., ARC and Trauma-Focused CBT)
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and care teams
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document services
- Participate in individual and group supervision
- Evaluate and respond to crisis situations as needed
- Clinician III only: Provide clinical supervision to unlicensed clinicians
Good To Know
- Position is based in Anchorage, AK
- Full-Time, Exempt
- Clinician I: Starting at $60,000
- Clinician II: Starting at $72,310
- Clinician III: $85,637 to $110,828 (DOE)
- Eligible for up to $39,000 in incentive with the average being $18,000
- Clinicians have the option to take up to nine (9) weeks off in the summer (based on productivity goals), making this a great opportunity for work-life balance.

- AKBH offers generous benefits including two healthcare options for employees and their dependent children, 401k with immediate vesting and up to 5% match, 4% automatically contributed by AKBH. PTO is accrued at the rate of five (5) weeks of PTO for the first year; eight (8) weeks of PTO after the first year. PTO is used for company recognized holidays.
What We Need from You
- Earned Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from a regionally accredited university and an APA accredited program, preferred; or a Master's degree in social work and licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); or a Master's degree in counseling and licensed to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); or a Master's degree in marriage and family therapy and licensed to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- You have experience working with SED clients, and experience with providing trauma-informed care
- You have 7-10 years clinical experience providing direct services as a psychotherapist
- You have at least two years providing clinical supervision
- You enjoy working with children, clinical associates, and school district employees.
