Position Summary:

Responsible for MWT's cloud computing infrastructure and platforms. Oversee system architecture and infrastructure ensuring secure integration with public, private and hybrid cloud. Maintain cloud infrastructure environments utilizing IaC; identifying requirements, assisting with cloud access security, monitor consoles and making necessary decisions to meet company goals. Daily activities include managing security and infrastructure that distributes information throughout Midwest Tape and its customers. Workload includes researching, architecting, gathering requirements, designing, scripting, documenting, and modifying infrastructure throughout the company as needed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Sufficient knowledge of AWS cloud platform to research, design, and implement solutions.
  • Follow defined AWS policies and best practices.
  • Utilizing IaC, specifically Terraform, to create, update and maintain AWS infrastructure foundation.
  • Maintain GitHub IaC for AWS infrastructure foundation repositories.
  • Provide support for IAM and IAM Identity Center with least privileged access.
  • Manage AWS Organization, Control Tower and Control Library.
  • Manage and improve infrastructure, evaluating performance and addressing availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.
  • Plan and execute the selection, installation, configuration, documentation and testing of AWS services.
  • Setup, configure, and support AWS networks.
  • Manage and support company security endpoints. (Firewalls, IPS, IDS, WAF, NACL, etc.)
  • Monitor metrics from multiple sources and integrate new ones.
  • Troubleshoot network problems.
  • Secure networks by developing security group network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation policies with least privileged access.
  • Provide higher tier support for help desk team members.
  • Create and maintain AWS documentation.
  • Protect organization by keeping information confidential.
  • Meet financial requirements by submitting information for budgets and monitoring expenses.
  • Keep current on new technologies by attending training seminars, reading professional publications, and participating in IT Infrastructure related events.

    Preferred Education Requirements:

    • BS Degree in Computer Science, or another related field


    Preferred Experience:
    • 5+ year experience working in IT Infrastructure areas
    • 5+ year experience with AWS
