Position Summary Details

In this role, you will join our Infrastructure, Services and Operations team and work collaboratively with product development and others to deploy and operate our systems and function as the liaison for operations. You will help automate and streamline current and new processes and operations. Participate in projects affecting the department. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. You will prioritize and troubleshoot customer issues and help to resolve them.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Analyze information taken from operations and development leadership, as part of a continuous improvement effort.
  • Supports the development lifecycle of platform design, deployment and debugging.
  • Has an intermediate understanding of DevOps tool and technologies.
  • Helps to identify, resolve and prevent existing and future system bottleneck issues.
  • Provides technical assistance to developers, testers and engineers to unify operational efforts.
  • Help develop, install and deploy scripts.
  • Accountable for maintaining process integrity with regards to policies and procedures. Must have basic awareness and familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Aids in assuring that SOPs are kept current. Contributes to creation of new SOPs where needed.
  • Compiles and completes status and metrics reports.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and 3-6 years of related professional experience
  • Understanding of network and information security
  • Capable of clearly articulating ideas and express opinions in an environment of open communication.

Intermediate experience with the following
  • Source Control: GIT and Bitbucket
  • Continuous Integration: Jenkins
  • Infrastructure Automation: Terraform, SonarQube, Ansible, and Packer
  • Container Concepts: Docker, ECS, Fargate
  • Cloud: AWS


Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not have any direct reports and is a single contributor role.

Working Environment and Travel Requirements
  • Work is typically in a normal office administrative environment involving minimal exposure to physical risks.
  • Position requires little to moderate physical activity. Mostly sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. No significant stooping is usually required.
