The Cloud Operations Engineer will focus on transitioning the team from traditional data center operations to a cloud-centric approach, modernizing services, and improving operational capabilities. This role is critical in steering the organization towards a modern, efficient, and cloud-driven operation, elevating both team skills and service delivery.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects that transition traditional data center operations to the cloud.
  • Modernize existing services to align with cloud best practices.
  • Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.
  • Ensure disaster recovery processes are followed and periodically tested.
  • Provide mentorship and training to enhance the team's cloud skills and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with customers to design and implement cloud-centric server solutions.
  • Develop automation and DevOps strategies to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Implement strategic approaches by replacing legacy technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud-based infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in cloud-based infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Experience in automation and DevOps tools and methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills to articulate complex technological concepts.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with serverless cloud IaaS and PaaS
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Terraform, Powershell, Bash, Python
  • Previous experience in a similar cloud operations role
  • Proven track record of modernizing systems and services to cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with SQL service modernization
  • Strong Linux and Windows troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to foster team growth and development in a fast-paced environment
