Apply now for the position of a Cloud Service Engineer within Service Operations Support where you will survey, check and optimize informatics product concepts regarding all aspects of their serviceability, maintainability and reliability. You will be responsible for defining requirements for a cloud-based product to ensure cost-effectiveness as well as optimal performance. You will work closely with our internal R&D team, support organization, and customer IT departments to understand business requirements and help develop the best solution possible.

Job Duties & Responsiblities:

* Determines service strategies and respective implementation plans.

* Plans serviceability aspects of products, systems and solutions and proposes improvements.

* Plans and conducts surveys on reliability and serviceability for products, systems and solutions and derives action plans.

* Cooperates with accountable engineering teams in the development of projects, at an early stage.

* Plans and schedules serviceability projects and determines respective budgets.

* Plans and coordinates serviceability work packages, to be implemented by the accountable engineering team.

* Ensures optimized service functionalities and documentation, co-decides in product releases.

* Ensures Technical Customer Service is prepared and qualified to implement the serviceability concepts.

* Collaborate with software engineering R&D, cybersecurity, and product teams to ensure the seamless integration of cloud services with diagnostic applications and services.

* Manage cloud-based databases, container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes), and serverless functions when applicable.

* Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to strategic decisions on cloud services architecture.

* Coordinates and contributes to product and solution development in terms of serviceability.

* Understand customer organizational needs: Work with stakeholders to understand the needs of a project and the type of cloud resources it requires.

* Collaborate with Customer IT Department members and Practice Groups to understand business objectives and translate them into cloud-based product service and implementation plans.

* Deploy cloud infrastructure components for cloud-based systems.

* Provide technical guidance and support to internal groups. Act as a consultant to internal field deployment teams in executing the cloud implementation plan.

* Collaborate with our Education department and help developing training materials and documentation to mentor and grow team members.

* Identify key stakeholders to engage on cloud deployments from the customer side.

* Consult and advise customer IT departments on the following:

- integration and management of various user access management solutions.

- maintain software deployment, testing, and monitoring in cloud environments.

- implement security measures to protect cloud resources, including network security, identity and access management, encryption, and compliance.

- monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, and cost optimization and implement proactive measures to address issues and improve efficiency.

- protection measures for sensitive data management.

Requirements:

* Years experience 8-10
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering preferred.
* "Certified Cloud Practitioner" in Azure, Google Cloud and/or AWS.
* A strong background in cloud computing, as well as a passion for staying abreast of emerging cloud technologies.
* Experience with supporting enterprise cloud-native platforms using container technologies (Kubernetes).
* Experience with supporting and troubleshooting virtualization hypervisor platforms using VMware, Hyper-V etc.
* Experience with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to both open source and commercial tools in public cloud environments.
* Experience with Laboratory Diagnostics software and/or analyzers during installations, education, and service.
* Familiarity with networking, DNS, load balancing, and firewall rules in cloud environments.
* Understanding of data privacy, healthcare security standards, and compliance frameworks.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
* Experience working productively in a remote model.
* Experience working with Microsoft Office products.
* Must be located, and work from a location in EST time zone of the United States.
