We are seeking a Cloud Engineer/System Administrator to help our government customer's success in Denver, Colorado!

Responsibilities

This position is on a program at the forefront of developing and operating Geospatial Intelligence analysis software. This team builds and maintains an exceptionally powerful platform enabling our users to address challenging real-world problems by converting disparate data into actionable information. We work directly with operational users to design, develop, and maintain capabilities that empower analysts to create actionable intelligence from the massive volumes of Geospatial Intelligence data to give our intel and combat organizations the decision advantage over our near-peer adversaries.

As a Senior Cloud Engineer/System Admin on the System Team, you will work with Release Trains, Agile Teams, Security, and the rest of the Systems Team by providing and maintaining the environments needed to develop and fielding advanced intelligence capabilities. This includes configuration management of hardware and software environment, supporting the Desktop development environment, providing cloud solutions, implementing infrastructure as code, and asset management and procurement.

Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain infrastructure as code for cloud-based services
  • Procure, build and maintain configuration management for on-prem hardware
  • Provide and maintain standard Linux and Windows operating systems environments
  • Responsible for asset management reporting and tracking
  • Procure, install, and manage software licenses
  • Assist in establishment, maintenance and troubleshooting of cloud-based and on-prem networking
  • Automate development and operation processes to ensure reliability and repeatability


Qualifications

Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
  • An active TS/SCI security clearance, preferably with CI polygraph
  • Five (5) years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Possess a strong grasp of Linux
  • Experience with AWS Infrastructure
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts
  • Experience managing unclassified and classified development environments including workstations, servers, and GPU assets
  • Knowledge on how to build, configure, and administrate all aspects of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 & 8
  • Must be able to apply security hardness according to DISA STIG requirements
  • Understanding of network configuration in cloud and on-prem environments
  • Experience with building and deploying Elastic Stack clusters for data and logs
  • Information Assurance/DoD 8570 certification IAT Level II or higher (like Security+) or willing to obtain within 6 months

Preferred Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar IaC technology
  • Experience procuring equipment for government contracts and asset management
  • AWS Certification - SysOps or DevOps or Architect
  • Experience managing hybrid on-prem / cloud operating environments
  • Experience with CICD pipelines and GitOps (like ArgoCD)
  • Experience with container management/orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, RKE2) and/or Platform as a Service (e.g., Openshift)
  • Experience with Helm charts, Kustomize, and/or updating k8s manifests

Security Clearance Level
  • TS/SCI with an adjudicated CI polygraph or ability to obtain a CI polygraph

Certification
  • Information Assurance/DoD 8570 certification IAT Level II or higher (like Security+) or willing to obtain within 6 months

Work Schedule
  • Full-time on-site at a designated facility - Hybrid schedule with accommodating team environment.

Pay Rate
  • The projected compensation range for this position is $135,000 - $181,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Criterion Systems considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
