Job Description
Responsible for overseeing the successful direction, planning, and execution of all Coated Products policies, objectives, and initiatives. This also includes all policies, procedures and all activities are carried out to support BRS goals and objectives at the Site level.
Duties and Responsibilities:Understanding Health, Safety, Environmental, ResponsibleSteel and Quality programs while developing or executing strategies to address issues and how they can be integrated into the business plan. Knowledge of ResponsibleSteel requirements for reduction of environmental impacts and energy reduction, concerns for local communities and stakeholders, and/or preservation of diversity. Develop training programs to support employee integrity, competence and to ensure an effective Quality Management System Monitor the departmental organization and recommend appropriate changes to meet or exceed BRS business needs Support other departmental managers and departments to strengthen BRS profitability and continual improvements efforts Ensure policies, procedures and all activities are carried out to support BRS goals and objectives Ensure departmental operations and facilities are well maintained to support integrity of assets Develop and maintain an operating budget for the department which satisfies the BRS Business Plan Qualifications:Strong leadership and conflict management skills Strong technical and analytical/ problem solving skills Good insight into dynamics and a positive team player Good written and verbal communication skills; computer literate Ability to demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times and to hold employees to the same standard Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience Minimum five years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment Previous related supervisory experience Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to work in office setting with daily tasks in the mill, which could typically involve extreme environments from hot to cold. This position can require long hours, weekend and holiday coverage to support routine responsibilities and travel.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position supervises others.
