JOB SUMMARY
The Cogito Business Analyst III manages customer engagement for requests and projects that fall within their assigned workflow domain. They implement reporting content and analytics tools according to defined best practices that can be met within the EHR user interface toolset. For those items requiring custom analytics development, the Cogito Business Analyst III works with cross-functional teams reviewing current workflows and informational goals in order to translate them into reporting requirements that will meet clinical or operational needs. The Cogito Business Analyst III will develop the specification defining the source data and business requirements needed to satisfy the request by the Epic Analytics Developer.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Specialized Training Licensure:
a) Bachelor's Degree: Computer Science, MIS, CIS, Engineering, Clinical Informatics, Data Science, or a related field with a technical emphasis
b) Master's Degree: Computer Science, MIS, CIS, Engineering, Clinical Informatics, Data Science, or a related field with a technical emphasis (Preferred)
Licenses & Certification:
a) At least one major Epic module certification, such as EpicCare Ambulatory or Inpatient, Resolute Hospital Billing, etc.
b) Epic Cogito certification, Additional smaller module certifications (Preferred)
Work Experience:
a) 5 Years of Experience: Healthcare organization business analysis
b) 3 Years of Experience: Analytics (Preferred)
c) 1 Year of Experience: Demonstrated Epic or analytic project leadership (Preferred)
Communication Skills:
a) Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact)
b) Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking)
c) Writing /Correspondence
