About the Role: The Collections Manager is responsible for overseeing the collection operations of the Americas region, ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables while maintaining positive relationships with clients. This role involves developing strategies to improve the collection processes, managing a team, and minimizing bad debt.

Responsibilities:

• Consolidate global collections data to be reviewed weekly in QMI
• Oversee and manage the collections team, ensuring efficient and effective process workflows.
• Drives reduction of past due receivables and improve Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
• Prepares monthly and quarterly collections forecasts, and ensure actual performance meets or exceeds these forecasts.
• Assists sales and customer service in developing creative solutions to resolving customer outstanding issues as they arise.
• Runs monthly credit memo process, in coordination with the cash & analytics leader to ensure A/R subledger is properly reconciled.
• Controls quarterly BDR (bad debt reserve) calculation methodology & performance.
• Manage cash application for the region(s) to reduce unapplied cash.
• Resolve tax issues and own corrections to AR.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in collections management, with a strong track record of reducing delinquency and bad debt.
• Experience working with Oracle Financials (preferably version R12) to include General Ledger, Cash Management, Receivables, Payables, iExpense, iProcurement, AGIS, Assets.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
