This is a public-facing, professional representative of MCHS heavily involved in community interactions.
Salary: Placement on the Certified salary schedule is commensurate with education and experience. $50,000-$116,845

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
Supervisory Responsibilities: Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees and students; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES -
- Advocate for students who choose to move directly to the work-force after high school and provide understanding of alternative post-secondary routes including military pathways
- Prepare students for success in college and career through goal development, assessment and internship support.
- Coordinate individual and small group counseling sessions to assist students with creating and implementing post-secondary educational and employment goals and action plans consistent with students' personal goals and needs.
- Assist with the effective implementation of the college and career readiness curriculum and learning activities to guide students through post-secondary processes and procedures.
- Works with community, family, staff and students to develop and implement formal and informal student events and activities that enhance a college and career school culture.
- Provides professional development for administrators, teachers, and counselors on career awareness, career preparation and academic integration.
- Provides consistent emphasis on and support for post-secondary and career exploration and preparation though both formal and informal student events and activities.
- Organize post-secondary planning and transition for middle school and high school students by coordinating meetings, supporting both career and college pathways.
- Establish a career center of updated career opportunities and work readiness materials.
- Supports the development, implementation and evaluation of a structured secondary college and career readiness/awareness program.
- Collaborates with Curriculum and CTE Department leadership to establish college and career readiness outcome measures of success for Secondary.
- Actively assists in the development of school site career readiness and preparation plans in accordance with city, state and federal employment trends.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with parents and the community to support District goals and program objectives.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Be familiar with concurrent enrollment policies and procedures.

- Strong understanding of ICAP requirements and comfortable with associated software. ??

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING
- A minimum of Bachelors or like experience
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
- Previous administrative assistant or similar experience is preferred.
- Strong office skills including typing, use of computer and other machine
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university?
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suites
- Ability to learn multiple informational computer programs that will be used on a daily basis
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Good time management skills
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Must be able to work and communicate in a professional manner with staff, board members, and the public
