Command and Control Systems Training Analyst

The Command and Control Systems Training Analyst assists the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands by serving within the operations directorate task area. The position's primary mission involves advising the COMUSMARCENT in all matters pertaining to current and future operations and organizing, directing, and controlling USMC operations in the USCENTCOM AOR. The operations directorate handles force requirements and coordinates Global Force Management needs with the Service and USCENTCOM, overseeing training, readiness, personnel recovery, and force protection, and ensure all necessary actions are aligned for both current and future operations. The Command and Control Systems Training Analyst directly supports services for MARCENT through the development of command and control systems training and platform techniques to ensure the efficient execution of MARCENT OAMS tasks both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS). The Command and Control Systems Training Analyst will perform the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide command and control systems training and platform techniques and procedures for command information displays riding on C2 systems that support the Commanders decision making process.
- Support the command with the development of business rules, providing remote and hands on training, individual and small group presentations on systems modifications and improvements, and provide scripted rehearsals/battle drills to maximize the effective use of the systems in exercises or contingency operations.
- Support all members of the staff as prioritized by the G3 Operations.
- Maintain currency with emergent and spiral development C2 systems, taking classes, attending forums, and researching best practices to convey to the staff.
EDUCATION
- HS diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum ten years of military experience.
- Experience working with command and control (C2) systems, including training and platform techniques.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs and materials for command-and-control systems and related technologies.
- Experience in supporting system modifications and improvements through training and scripted rehearsals.
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Possess expert level knowledge on the effective use of Command and Control (C2) Systems.
- Possess a complete knowledge and ability to visualize information displays and train and assist functional staff elements in the development of displays using C2 systems platforms and applications.
- Be proficient in train the trainer methodologies that support building depth within the MARCENT staff on C2 systems use.
- Advanced proficiency with groupware applications (SharePoint, MS Teams) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.) desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills desired.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS
- Travel is required.
- Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company's auto insurance provider.
- Compliant with current DoD IAT certification Level 1 or above or SEC+ certified and have a Cyber Security Workforce Certification of Security+. Cyber Security Workforce Certification of Security+ is required by the Marine Corps Enterprise Networks for administrator credentials, which are required to operate the Commands systems.
SECURITY CLEARANCE
- A TS/SCI clearance is required for this position.
