About the Role:

The Commercial HVAC Project Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of HVAC projects within the construction industry. This position requires a deep understanding of HVAC systems, project management principles, and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers. The primary goal is to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager will also be responsible for identifying potential risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies. Ultimately, this role is vital for enhancing client satisfaction and ensuring the successful delivery of HVAC solutions in commercial settings.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management within the HVAC or construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation processes, and relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools to track project progress and manage resources.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with energy-efficient HVAC systems and sustainable building practices.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD or other design software used in HVAC system design.
  • Previous experience managing large-scale commercial HVAC projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage HVAC projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate with engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems into construction plans.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address any issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, including clients and upper management, to keep them informed of progress and any potential challenges.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, to maintain accurate records throughout the project lifecycle.
