Job Description:
The Commercial IT Services & Product Manager is responsible for developing IT resources and programs that support both internal and external customer needs. This role requires an individual with a strong balance of technical expertise and business skills, along with the vision and drive to shape and direct Sebastian's business strategy for IT services. Additionally, the position involves assessing the skills and certifications of existing staff, managing and developing current resources, and collaborating with teams to ensure the optimal performance and deployment of IT solutions.
Job Duties:
Assessments of marketing opportunities and target markets, intelligence gathering on customers and competitors, generating leads for possible sales, follow-up sales activity, formal proposal writing and business model design.
Pursue new revenue streams in government and private sector markets including program development, grant writing, and project management.
Identify and evaluate specific business opportunities (products, markets, acquisitions) including feasibility analysis, business plan development, product development, P&L performance and related financial metrics (ROI, breakeven, etc).
Work with marketing to develop pricing, packaging, and positioning strategies as well as sales tools and training for sales staff.
Evaluate and refine existing lines of business to improve financial performance, reporting and accounting processes.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g. PMP, ITIL) preferred.
5+ years of experience in a managerial or leadership role within IT services, product management, or a related field preferred.
Strong knowledge of commercial IT services, product lifecycle management, and IT industry best practices.
Proven experience in managing IT service delivery, vendor relationships, and implementing IT products and solutions.
Experience in managing budgets, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships and team dynamics effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including development, sales, marketing, and operations, to deliver IT services and products.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
Must have minimal ability to stand, sit, squat, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, reach, push, and pull as required for light duties of standard office clerical positions.
Occasional lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
Exposure to air-conditioned/heated office environment.
Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word level.
Visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing data, operation of office equipment, and determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work.

- Manage all IT support groups, including but not limited to scheduling of technicians, ordering, and purchasing of material, ensure maximum utilization of billable resources, and an escalation resource for support.
- Manage installation of Projects (Jobs). This includes product selection, ordering of equipment, ensuring they are installed/programmed properly.
- Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.
- Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction. Improve usage and increase productivity of IT support resources.

- Act as technical back-up to Senior Technicians when additional knowledge or time is needed.
