Summary Description

nbkc bank is currently looking for a C&I focused Commercial Lender to join our Commercial Lending team. This role will be responsible for prospecting new business relationships with a focus on C&I, maintain and expand existing customer relationships all while ensuring quality of loans and limiting risk to the bank and shareholders.

This position will work @Flex (a combination of both in the office and at home) based out of our Kansas City, MO headquarters.

What you'll do

• Prospect potential new customers for all areas of the bank through letters, cold calling efforts, referral sources and other sources deemed necessary.
• Maintain and service a profitable loan portfolio to ensure quality and limited risk to the bank and shareholders.
• Manage C&I loan portfolio and business relationships from a small to complex nature.
• Analyze financial and related data to determine the current creditworthiness of loan relationships to determine loan status.
• Monitor loan payments and advances activities in accordance with presented loan documentation and policies.
• Establish and negotiate terms under which credit will be extended, including the costs, repayment method and schedule of collateral requirements and documentation.
• Prepare reports and analysis of credit situations and provide for loans that need restructuring.
• Identify, monitor, and manage risk profiles. Present to Executive Loan Committee status and updates on the full life cycle of loan to include, loan requests, new loan terms and modifications for restructuring, watch list items and past dues.

What you'll bring

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of C&I lending experience.
• 7-10 years of commercial credit, financial analysis or commercial lending including credit risk management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of related state and federal lending and compliance regulations, and other Bank lending policies
• Advanced accounting and business financial knowledge with ability to analyze repayment ability, cash flow and commercial financial statement and tax return analysis
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
