A leading global law firm is seeking highly qualified 3rd to 5th year associates to join their esteemed Commercial Litigation group in New York. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for accelerated professional development, allowing associates to work closely with senior members of the litigation team. The ideal candidate will exhibit a passion for courtroom litigation, supported by significant experience across various stages of litigation.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in diverse commercial litigation matters, managing cases through all phases of the litigation process.
• Conduct thorough discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings and motions to support case strategies.
• Engage in witness preparation for depositions and trials.
• Take and defend depositions, focusing on advancing client interests.
• Collaborate with senior partners to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
• Participate in trial preparation and represent clients at hearings and trials.
• Contribute to settlement negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Stay updated on developments in commercial litigation to enhance service delivery.
• Engage in business development initiatives to expand the firm's client base.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar.
• 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience at a reputable law firm, including law firm and federal clerkship experience.
• Strong trial experience is preferred, ideally with first-chair responsibilities.
• Experience in plaintiff-side litigation is a plus.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• A driven and tenacious approach with a clear desire to advance to a first-chair courtroom role.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Compensation: The annual compensation range for this position is between $250,000 and $325,000, based on qualifications and firm policies.
