Commercial Litigation Attorney
Cozen O'Connor's Dallas office is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation attorney. This position offers the opportunity to perform substantive and sophisticated work on a variety of matters including premises liability, personal injury, construction defect, wrongful death, property damage, and transportation law in state and federal courts. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of eight years' experience handling a large number of active case files with a significant amount including catastrophic/fatality cases. Demonstrated first chair level responsibility is preferred.
Key Qualifications & Responsibilities:
Extensive experience across multiple phases of litigation, particularly taking/defending fact and expert depositions, attending hearings and mediations.
Ability to run with and manage a robust number of files and report to clients promptly and regularly.
Work independently with clients, with a focus on advising on litigation strategy, exposure, and vetting/obtaining experts.
Must be self-motivated but also a collaborative team player willing to supervise and mentor associates within the practice group.
Excellent organizational, writing and analytical skills.
Strong academic background and a record of excellence in previous roles.
Travel within Texas several times per month.
