We are looking to add a talented Commissioning Authority to our team in Boise. The Commissioning Authority oversees and manages commissioning projects to ensure building systems are designed, installed, and operating according to the owner's project requirements and industry standards. This role involves leading commissioning teams, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and reliable building systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead projects and personnel as part of the commissioning process, including:
- Review the owner's project requirements, design documents, and equipment submittals
- Develop commissioning plans and specifications, installation check-sheets, and functional test procedures
- Conduct commissioning meetings with engineers and installation contractors
- Communicate and coordinate activities among various disciplines and professionals
- Perform installation verification of equipment during construction
- Execute point-to-point testing and control system device calibration above ceilings and in mechanical spaces, often requiring ladder use or work from aerial work platforms
- Direct and perform functional tests
- Write and review final reports and project documentation
- Provide building system engineering expertise as part of project construction teams
- Manage project commissioning teams and be accountable for project performance
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior commissioning team members
- Support the "seller-doer" approach to project execution and business development
- Actively support our business development plan
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

- Commissioning certification from ACG, BCxA, NEBB or similar nationally recognized professional organization
- Registration as a professional engineer or engineer-in-training in mechanical, electrical, or fire protection system engineering preferred
- 6 or more years of experience with mechanical mechanical systems; preference given for commissioning experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong problem solving, math critical thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task and effectively manage project work and schedules a must
- Able to manage, direct, and work well with others
- Expertise with construction documents, building systems, and controls
- Ability to handle physical workload, working at heights on lifts and ladders
- Independent and self-motivated, driven to grow your career and company success
