We are looking for a Commodity Management Professional. This position will be based in Buffalo Grove, IL.

As a Commodity Management Professional, you will strategically manage commodity procurement by developing and implementing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and fostering strong supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective and reliable material supply. You will also support optimizing product quality, manufacturability, and cost through proactive supplier engagement and participation in new product development.

You'll make an impact by:
  • Strategic Commodity Management: Define and implement commodity strategies based on market analysis, demand, and supplier performance to ensure cost-efficient and secure supply.
  • Supplier Relationship and Negotiation: Develop and manage supplier relationships, negotiate agreements (including pricing and quality), and optimize supply chain efficiencies.
  • Contractual and Commercial Operations: Develop and negotiate contractual agreements for price protection and supply security, conduct eAuctions, RFQs, and supplier selection.
  • Quality and Performance Monitoring: Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance, address quality issues, and lead quality agreement negotiations.
  • Product Lifecycle and Innovation: Implement procurement aspects of product lifecycle processes, optimize product quality and cost, and identify innovative market solutions.

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field of study
  • 3+ years' experience in procurement or supply chain management
  • Experience in MS Office applications, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred
  • Domestic and international travel up to 10%
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

  • Excellent project management and analytical skills
  • Self-motivation and drive, with an openness to explore new approaches
  • Understanding of supplier cost structure and bills of materials
  • Passion for automation and digitalization, process improvement
  • Experience in global manufacturing environment

  • The pay range for this position is $80,920 - $138,720. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
