The Common Man Roadside is looking for an IT Director to help support all locations!

Job Summary:

The Director of Information Technology will manage and direct the company's information technology (IT) operations, ensuring the department provides an efficient and effective technical support service.

Position Responsibilities:

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Hires and trains IT staff.
  • Schedules, organizes, and assigns projects to members of the IT team.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Technical Infrastructure Management:
  • Develop and implement strategies for the design, deployment, and maintenance of technical infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, and other various platforms.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of technical systems to meet business requirements.
  • Assist with implementing new platforms into the companies' locations

Operations Management:
  • Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline technical operations and ensure consistent performance.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and lead resolution efforts to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Assist with training the leadership team on new platforms
  • Implement disaster recovery plans and procedures to safeguard critical data and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define operational metrics, track performance, and implement improvements as needed.

Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a team of technical professionals, providing guidance and support in their career development.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address performance issues in a timely manner.

Compliance and Security:
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices in data privacy, security, and disaster recovery.

Required Skills / Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Micros and Restaurant Experience required
  • Proficient in latest technology for IT systems and management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Through understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company's goals.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred
  • Experience managing IT in hospitality preferred
  • At least ten years of experience managing an IT department.
