Position classification: Hybrid -- Job duties and expectations allow for onsite and remote work scheduled every week. The Prevention Program Supervisor develops, leads, supports the Prevention Team which consists of prevention case management and services supporting prevention practice for the Children and Family Services Division. This position is responsible for partnering with the Prevention Manager for developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating prevention programs/practices to ensure high-quality, effective prevention services and supports are provided to children, youth, and families to prevent unnecessary family disruption, prevent involvement in the child welfare and/or juvenile justice systems, and to increase/strengthen families' protective capacities. The direct supervisory responsibilities for this role focus on team development and leadership, implementation of prevention practices/programs to promote child/youth safety.

Examples of Duties for Success
- Researches, develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates prevention programs/practices that will positively impact families and the community.
- Provides oversight and leadership of prevention case management and services team members.
- Provides effective leadership to monitor performance and evaluate outcomes for the Prevention Team.
- Creates and supports team and individual development and goals.
- Coaches caseworkers regarding performance strengths and challenges to ensure quality engagement and outreach to families.
- Provides leadership coverage for other Prevention Section supervisors during vacation, sick, and administrative leave.
- Partners with stakeholders, community partners, and other collaterals regarding service delivery and the integration and collaboration in the provision of child welfare/prevention services.
- Ensures all team members actively support and apply the County norms and values in their daily work including team member interactions with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders both within and outside the Division and department.
- Provides supervision for the implementation of practice standards to ensure timely service provision; high- quality, thorough assessments, and support; linkage with community supports and services when appropriate; high-quality family engagement strategies; and effective collaboration with other Division teams/units.
- Provides supervision for the implementation of prevention services and practices based on research, best practice, federal and state regulations, county policy, and requirements of the Family First Prevention Services Act of 2018.
- Serves as an active participant on the Children and Family Services Supervisory Team.
- Participates on relevant task forces and committees at the division, department, community, and state levels.
- Partners and collaborates with Community Management Program Supervisor.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required.

More Qualifications for Success
- Experience: Four (4) years of full time professional social casework experience acquired after the degree in a public or private social services agency in an area appropriate to the position.
- Education and Training:
- Bachelor's Degree in one of the human behavioral science fields.
- A Bachelor's of Social work may substitute for 1 year of the required experience.
- An MSW may substitute for 2 years of the required experience.
- Proof of education, (degree or transcripts,) and license (if candidate has received one) are required.
- License or Certificate:
- Must be eligible to become a certified supervisor through the State Child Welfare Academy or already be certified.
- Possession of a Colorado Driver's License and proof of Automotive Insurance.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check.
- Other: Must utilize a personal vehicle to get to many appointments in the local community and surrounding areas within Colorado.
