Salary: $72,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience
Terrific Community Engagement Manager position with a large foundation committed to strengthening the communities of South Florida and furthering philanthropic initiatives across the country. The Community Engagement Manager will join a team focused on shaping the organization's grant-making strategy and engaging in the local nonprofit landscape. A focus of this position will be to provide portfolio management services to a large family foundation and their grant-making activities. This includes managing the grantee portfolio, prospecting, and overseeing the proposal open call and grant review process. This role will require excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong stewardship and project management skills. Candidates should have approximately 8+ years of related experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. This position is based in the Miami area and operates on a hybrid schedule. The salary for this position is $72,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience.

Responsibilities:
- Develop deep knowledge and build strong collaborative relationships within the Miami nonprofit community
- Serve as the point of contact for a grant-making portfolio of a significant funder consisting of 50+ grantees
- Lead open grant calls, implement project timelines, collaborate with an external impact evaluator, oversee the proposal review process, and review grant agreements
- Support the evaluation of the organization's grant-making strategies
- Craft and tell stories to donors about how their contributions will impact the community
- Write recommendation memos for funders
- Collaborate with the Philanthropy team to provide recommendations to funders on nonprofits that match their philanthropic interests
- Represent the foundation at community events
Qualifications:
- Approximately 8+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- Knowledge of Miami's nonprofit landscape
- Possess a strategic mindset
- Ability to collaborate at all levels within the foundation and with funders
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and meetings
