Orlando Health's Alabama Region is seeking a Compensation Manager who will manage and participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of compensation processes, programs, policies, and systems to effectively support the compensation and HR service requirements of Orlando Health.
Responsibilities
- Manage base pay programs, special pay programs and incentive programs for eligible non-executive and non-physician team members; support the Corporate Director with executive and physician pay programs as assigned.
- Partner and consult with business leadership to identify and resolve compensation issues to facilitate effective rewards strategies.
- Continually scan the environment to identify actual and potential opportunities, vulnerabilities, and compliance issues related to compensation including, but not limited to, market changes, internal pay factors, regulatory mandates, and wage and hour compliance; initiate pay audits and recommend corrective actions as appropriate in conjunction with human resource leadership.
- Manage, plan, develop, and administer new and revised compensation programs, procedures, in order to be responsive to Orlando Health goals and competitive practices.
- Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies and procedures, recommending revisions that are cost effective and consistent with compensation standards and corporate-wide objectives.
- Assist in the integration of compensation and classification systems with other HR and end-user systems; employ comprehensive systems thinking while ensuring integration of policies, programs and procedures.
- Assist in the design and implementation of workflow projects, employee self-service applications, and web-based compensation applications for employees and supervisors.
- Demonstrate excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple assignments, adapting to changing priorities and situations, and follow through on the completion of assignments by deadlines.
- Formulate and develop plans, procedures, and programs to meet reporting and tracking needs and resolve related problems.
- Provide training and educational resources to business leaders on an ongoing basis to ensure managers have necessary skills and competencies to appropriately deliver pay programs including hiring guidelines, merit increases, promotions and other pay decisions.
- Continually evaluate and assess compensation and related human resources practices and procedures to ensure continuous process improvement and optimal results.
- Manage ongoing benchmarking studies, survey completion and regular internal pay practices audits to support data needs.
- Design, prepare and interpret complex reports and data analyses to solve problems, identify adverse trends and forecast short- and long-term recommendations to optimize the human capital investment.
- Update and recommend changes to compensation policies and procedures as required; maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Prepare and manage department budget.
- Serve as a super-user for compensation related technology platforms.
- Manages various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures

- Serve as compensation's representative on task forces and special projects.

- Builds positive relationships/partnerships with internal and external customers.
- Participates in general HR and corporate initiatives as requested.
- Develop and maintain contacts with other organizations, training organizations and associations for the purpose of keeping abreast of new developments in the HR field.
Qualifications
Education/Training
Bachelor's degree required.
Experience
- Five (5) years compensation related experience required, to include a minimum of three (3) years' experience in compensation administration.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Knowledge of HRIS applications.
