Position Summary

This role has a primary focus on ensuring compliance in payroll, HR, expense management, and other critical areas. The Compliance Analyst will play a key role in identifying and mitigating compliance risks and developing and implementing compliance programs. The role will conduct thorough audits and reviews, utilizing data analytics to identify trends and potential issues, and provide detailed audit reports including corrective actions as necessary to ensure adherence to both internal policies and external regulations. The position will work under the direction of Internal Audit with close collaboration with Legal and various other departments.

Job Duties/Description
  • Audit Procedures: Conduct regular audits and reviews of payroll, HR, and expense management processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures including remediation of any identified issues.
  • Strategic Planning: Identify and assess areas of compliance risk and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Training and Development: Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs and training initiatives.
  • Professional Development/Continuous Improvement: Pursues professional development opportunities to stay current on regulatory requirements and industry trends; recommends enhancements to compliance frameworks, policies and processes as needed.
  • Internal Audit Department Support: Support the Internal Audit team in other compliance-related tasks as needed.


Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Experience with data analytics and tools such as Alteryx, including the ability to analyze complex data sets and generate actionable insights
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Strong understanding of payroll, HR, and expense management processes; knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (including labor laws)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to use discretion and handle sensitive/confidential information
  • Understanding of GAAP, SOX and COSO regulations. Knowledge in applying internal auditing and accounting principles, management information systems terminology and concepts, as well as industry polices and regulations
  • Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced, changing environment


Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology or related field from an accredited college or university


Years of Experience:
  • 2-4 years of experience in compliance, financial analysis, internal audit, or a related field


Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:
  • See below (CIA, CPA or CFE preferred)


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or similar
  • Experience with Workday ERP platform
  • Experience with audit tools such as Workiva


Pay
This is a salaried position starting at $70,000.00 and pays up to $97,000.00, based on experience and qualifications.
